I’m originally from Puglia, a beautiful region in the Southern Italy. I am married to Elton and we have two wonderful children. I love cooking, especially Italian traditional dishes. I’ve been living in Rye over the last two years and I love this place. I am friendly and smiley and I look forward to welcoming you to the Gallivant for breakfast.

My love of cooking started when I was working on an inshore fishing boat. Learning about the different fish and how to cook them. I then went into the kitchens starting has a KP working my up. I have an interest in dogs, having had dogs all my life. I have a very large family, 26 nieces and nephews so you can imagine what cooking Christmas Dinner is like.

After training as a Pastry Chef in Switzerland I returned to the UK to work in various Michelin starred restaurants and five-star hotels.

I have now returned to my roots, to my hometown of Rye. The pace of life on the coast is certainly different to city life- but walking out of The Gallivant each day and feeling the sea breeze (sometimes it’s very ‘bracing’) brings contentment and quality to life.

I’ve lived in Camber my whole life and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. I especially like it in the winter as it is so peaceful. I Recently became a mother and enjoy walking on the beach with my son and our dog.

I have a passion for food with an extensive knowledge of house made charcuterie. My career highlights have been Working in Hong Kong with Jamie Draper, I’ve worked for The Rules Restaurant. The oldest restaurant in London for 6 years. I’m Very passionate about music, and love collecting records.

Elise General Manager

Lover of food, wine and the great outdoors. Since relocating from London in 2016, I wake up to the sounds of the sea and with a broad smile. Living on the South Coast and working with a fantastic team at an incredible property, combines all of my passions. When not at the Gallivant, can be found out for long coastal walks, swimming in the sea, on my paddleboard (trying not to fall in), tending to my new lockdown veg patch and cooking for friends and family.

I was born 37 years ago in Brazil before moving to Italy aged 22 to play futsal. There I met my wife Anna, and we now have 2 beautiful children. I started working in hospitality 10 years ago and I love my job because of my passion for being around other people. Three years ago I moved to England to improve the lives of my family. I hold respect, education and honesty as the most important values in life.


I always wanted to own a restaurant from as long as I could remember, so when a restaurant with 20 bedrooms by the best beach I can think of became available, I jumped. What started as a whim has become a mission. It’s not rocket science. Create lovely places my wife and I would want to stay in, places that make you genuinely happy and perhaps even inspire you to be a slightly better version of yourself in the future. The Gallivant in Camber is just the start.

Classes are inspired by the wheel of the year, moon phases and syncing our intention and practice with the ever changing seasons around us. My practice and life is inspired by my passions for earth-based spirituality. I have hosted many events for the solstices, equinoxes and moon phases; placing emphasis on our connection with the natural world through breath, mind and body.

I have worked in the hospitality industry for 30 years, working in some lovely hotels.

In my time off I like spending time with all my grandchildren and doing my gardening.

I have worked in the events industry for almost 20 years. I have an array of global experience working with a number of corporate companies from the financial, pharmaceutical, automotive and technology sectors to working with large media companies and sporting divisions.

I am extremely passionate about wellbeing, gender equality and diversity. My high energy, confidence, passionate and hardworking attitude as well as my understanding of the importance of structuring an event, ensures that any client has the most memorable and successful event under my direction.

I’m a computer science student and have lived in Camber my whole life and have extensive knowledge of the local area.  I am always willing to share secluded walks or great local running trails that I have discovered.  I love to travel around the world to experience different lifestyles and cultures and try different cuisines.  I have been lucky enough to visit most countries in Europe and have had several road trips around the USA. I am looking forward to the restrictions being lifted so I can travel again.

Having a young son, I don’t get to play as much golf as I would like, but I am becoming a master lego builder! My passions for food extends far beyond my work in the kitchen. I love to cook for friends and family, especially if I can cook over an open fire. If I could change the world, I’d reduce the price of truffles!!

I have recently found a love for running and during the national lockdown of 2021 I decided to challenge myself to train and run my first marathon.

A qualified British Wheel of Yoga teacher with 18 years practicing and teaching since 2015. Louise runs workshops and classes in East Sussex and Kent, blending classical; hatha postures that from one to another. Her main approach is to help students establish a sound physical practice that is appropriate for their wellbeing.


I moved to the coast just over two years ago. Since moving here, I have enjoyed taking my dog for long walks along the beach. I enjoy spending my spare time with my family and friends.



My personality is extremely bubbly and enthusiastic. In my spare time I enjoy exploring nature and travelling to new places, but my favourite pastime is baking. I also enjoy visiting different restaurants and bars, experiencing new food and learning more about how different dishes are produced. In life, the most important thing to me is spending time with my family and friends.

I grew up in Brittany and after my graduations in hospitality management, I decided to come to the UK and was fortunate to work as Restaurant General Manager alongside some of the best Michelin chefs in the country. Alongside a passion for training and development of my team and excellence in customer service, I also have a love for wine! During my time off, I can be found walking my dog or running on the beautiful beaches or Nature Reserves on our doorstep. If I could change the world, I’d find a cure for cancer.

After suffering a protruding disc in my lower lumbar spine and deciding that the three month wait for a steroid injection wasn’t going to be much fun at all, I started my love affair with pilates and haven’t looked back. I am a qualified STOTT instructor. I focus on spinal health and general wellbeing with private, semi private and small classes across East Sussex and Kent.

I’m Naketa. I’m an animal enthusiast. Working at the Gallivant gives me the priviledge of being around so many wonderful dogs everyday. I believe in adding adventure, joy, chocolate, and a bit of comedy to my everyday life.

I live by the sea and have two small daughters, so try to spend as much time with them as possible and nothing beats a walk along the beach. I am a big football fan, Chelsea FC in particular, so will often hog the TV to the annoyance of my two girls! I love cooking especially for others, so this year I’ve made the resolution to entertain more. If I could change the world, I’d like for everyone to have access to clean running water, food and education.

I have lived in the area my whole life with 5 generations of the family having farmed at Boulder Wall Farm which is now known as the RSPB in Dungeness. I find a real delight in hunting for interesting antiques and often stroll around Rye with my Husband and 3 children when were not busy with our home renovations

Hi! I’m Sally,

I have lived in Camber Sands for about four years with my husband, I have a twin sister who lives in Rye. I enjoy walking on the beach in all weathers, warm and sunny, cold, wet, and even in the snow, it’s great!

I enjoy collecting sea glass, reading, music, and cooking at home, I’m always willing to try new flavours. I also enjoy cricket, and will often watch it on tv, I also support my husband who plays for local team.
