YOGA ESCAPE

DAY ONE

Arrive sometime after lunch, drop bags in room, then a relaxing herbal tea in the sitting room and a sit down with one of our yoga teachers to discuss exactly what you want to achieve over the coming days.  This is where your #metime starts.  At four a home baked cake appears from the kitchen, then perhaps a mindful walk on the beach to set the intention before your first private yoga class starts at 6.  Candlelit dinner then relaxation in the Snug.

DAY THREE

Last day, last breakfast….maybe a full English, we cure our own bacon, you can’t really go away without one.  Perhaps one last walk on that beach to refocus the mind and prolong the calm before heading off at your leisure around midday.  Relaxed.

DAY TWO

Breakfast at 9am, not too early it’s supposed to be a holiday,  lots of healthy options to pick, avocado and poached eggs sounds good?  Your private yoga class doesn’t start until midday so the morning is up to you, perhaps another walk on the beach?  More free time after lunch – you have a spa session booked at 5pm so a trip to Dungeness shouldn’t be missed or perhaps a wander around the cobbled streets of Rye – it’s very quaint.  Another candle lit dinner and probably an early night, the yoga and massage will have seen to that.  Relax.

Your Yoga Escape is yours so you decide the flow.  The itinerary shown is only an example, we’ll agree yours at the time of booking.  If you are looking to start your journey or are simply yearning for more, the private classes will be tailored to meet you exact needs.

Yoga at the Gallivant

Katie, our in house yoga teacher, teaches energetic vinyasa with elements of Ashtanga incorporated.

She loves to teach on the beach but if the weather isn’t kind then the yoga class will be in the beach hut marquee.

We will provide everything you might need for your practice, as well as complimentary herbal teas, filtered water and an inspirational gift to leave with.

Katie McNie bio

Katie has been practising yoga for over 7 years and jumped at the chance to gain her RYT 200 Hours qualification in 2017 on Big Island, Hawaii.

She started her yoga journey at university in St Andrews, Scotland and was further inspired by Bliss yoga centre in Grand Cayman.

She is certified to teach both Ashtanga and Vinyasa styles of yoga. Her classes are upbeat and energetic, designed to work out the whole body as well as relax the mind.

She focuses on alignment to strengthen the body and breathing techniques to ground the mind. She enjoys inspiring those who want to start their own home practice and believes the yoga lifestyle should take place both on and off the mat.

She enjoys teaching on the beach at Camber, no studio can beat the feeling of the fresh sea air on your skin whilst guiding your body through a sequence of asanas!
