We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the stylish Gallivant.
The atmosphere is calming with friendly staff who all went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and special. Great consideration has been given to the beautiful interiors with just the perfect levels of lighting and music. Artwork by local artists and historical swimsuits adorn the tastefully decorated rooms and beautiful natural gardens flow into relaxing seating areas. Breakfast was served perfectly on the patio by Georgina. With Camber sands across the road, historical Rye nearby and a visit to Tellinger winery for lunch the Gallivant is perfect for a few nights away.

Just by chance I found this little gem as I browsed the internet in desperate need of a break. Thank goodness I did. I cannot fault the hotel …

Just by chance I found this little gem as I browsed the internet in desperate need of a break. Thank goodness I did. I cannot fault the hotel or staff. The rooms were clean, food excellent, standards high, atmosphere relaxing. The hotel goes the extra mile from beach blankets, to refreshments packed and ready to take to the dunes a stone throw away, wellies to borrow, yoga on the beach, star gazing from the personal outside space accompanying your room, to spa moments! and wine list to keep you going for weeks !!! An absolute must for those needing a complete escape.

I will be returning for another totally blissful me time holiday.

Thank you to all staff for making my stay one to never forget.

A beautiful boutique hotel with a real charm, quirky interior and stunning gardens. The staff are supper friendly and everything is on hand from deck chairs to wellies, to dog biscuits, towels, water bottles and beach bags.
The attention to detail is amazing.
The food was delicious and the bed was super comfy.
We will be recommending to all our friends.

The room was very comfortable and I liked you booklets with local info.

I also had a lovely sunny walk along the beach.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the stylish Gallivant.
The atmosphere is calming with friendly staff who all went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and special. Great consideration has been given to the beautiful interiors with just the perfect levels of lighting and music. What is included your room rate?

Depends what room rate you have booked….

The Essential Gallivant includes a simple continental style breakfast, House supper or £15 credit per person towards our a la carte menu, English Wine at 5 – a glass of English wine to enjoy and whatever wellness class(es) are on that day, normally yoga.

The Complete Gallivant also includes a much more amazing breakfast of cooked dishes from the kitchen, three courses from our a la carte at dinner and We Have Drift Off sleepy time tea by your bed at bedtime.

What are the check in and check out times?

Our check in time is 4pm and check out 11am. If you would like to come earlier (or stay later) to have lunch or a drink at the bar that’s absolutely fine. You can either leave your bags in the car or we’ll look after them until your bedroom is ready or you’re ready to go.

Are dogs allowed at the Gallivant / on the beach?

Yes, but we only allow smallish dogs, so nothing bigger than a spaniel please. They are allowed in the bar area and in four of our bedrooms.  They are also allowed on the beach all year round.

Where is the nearest station / How long is the train journey from London?

In Rye, 4 miles away. There is a high speed train from London St Pancras every hour. It takes 1 hour 9 minutes, change at Ashford International.

What are the Dining Room opening times?

Breakfast     8am to 11am
Day, Mon to Fri     1.00pm to 2.30pm
Weekend lunch     1.00pm to 3.00pm
Dinner   6.00pm to 9.00pm

Can I charge my car?

Yes, we have two car charging points.  If you are coming to stay and would like to reserve one please email reservations@thegallivant.co.uk
