We had a perfect stay. Everything was so well thought out and all the little details were spot on – Wellies for walks on the beach, blankets for the outdoor area, tea and coffee available all day. We loved the idea of giving guests water bottles for their stay and used ours all the time.

We came to remote work for a couple of days and it was the perfect place to do so – lots of comfy places to work, power outlets etc.

The room was beautiful and super comfy. Yoga classes were great and we thought were pitched at the right level to cater to people of different abilities.

Food and drink was fantastic.

Finally the service from everyone was absolutely second to none. The team seemed genuinely happy and passionate about working there and were always friendly and on hand to help with anything (bringing snacks, booking taxis) etc. nothing was too much trouble and the staff were super attentive while also being discreet and not overbearing.

Overall a wonderful stay!

Dear Elise,
We had the most wonderful stay at the beautiful Gallivant. The room was delightful, all staff friendly and helpful at all times, and the food was delicious. Lyndsey was brilliant: when we checked in, I asked for a kettle and on our return from a short walk on the beach, we had a beautiful tray waiting for us. We also loved the infectious enthusiasm of the young manager who greeted us for our evening meal. Although our stay was sadly a brief one we came away feeling refreshed and relaxed. We very much look forward to our next visit.

Another wonderful stay at The Gallivant.

All the staff on duty during the my stay (23-25 March) were first class. Nothing was too much trouble. They were all exceptional. Everyone on duty understands your product so well. 10/10!

The beds and pillows are a dream.

The food was so delicious and the provision of recipe cards a marvellous idea.

Thanks to you all. I'm coming back again soon, so will look forward to that very much.

Thank you very much for a comfortable stay at the Gallivant. We felt very well and carefully looked after given my partner's disability. Nothing was too much trouble and the food and rooms and overall atmosphere and feel of the place was relaxed and gently luxurious.
There was a lot of attention to detail and the general areas where you could relax or work or chat were very attractive.

We had a perfect stay. Everything was so well thought out and all the little details were spot on – Wellies for walks on the beach, blankets for the outdoor area, tea and coffee available all day. We loved the idea of giving guests water bottles for their stay and used ours all the time.

Dear Elise,
We had the most wonderful stay at the beautiful Gallivant. The room was delightful, all staff friendly and helpful at all times, and the food was delicious. What is included your room rate?

Depends what room rate you have booked….

The Essential Gallivant includes a simple continental style breakfast, House supper or £15 credit per person towards our a la carte menu, English Wine at 5 – a glass of English wine to enjoy and whatever wellness class(es) are on that day, normally yoga.

The Complete Gallivant also includes a much more amazing breakfast of cooked dishes from the kitchen, three courses from our a la carte at dinner and We Have Drift Off sleepy time tea by your bed at bedtime.

What are the check in and check out times?

Our check in time is 4pm and check out 11am. If you would like to come earlier (or stay later) to have lunch or a drink at the bar that’s absolutely fine. You can either leave your bags in the car or we’ll look after them until your bedroom is ready or you’re ready to go.

Are dogs allowed at the Gallivant / on the beach?

Yes, but we only allow smallish dogs, so nothing bigger than a spaniel please. They are allowed in the bar area and in four of our bedrooms.  They are also allowed on the beach all year round.

Where is the nearest station / How long is the train journey from London?

In Rye, 4 miles away. There is a high speed train from London St Pancras every hour. It takes 1 hour 9 minutes, change at Ashford International.

What are the Dining Room opening times?

Breakfast     8am to 11am
Day, Mon to Fri     1.00pm to 2.30pm
Weekend lunch     1.00pm to 3.00pm
Dinner   6.00pm to 9.00pm

Can I charge my car?

Yes, we have two car charging points.  If you are coming to stay and would like to reserve one please email reservations@thegallivant.co.uk
