Just returned from an excellent stay, couldn’t fault anything we enjoyed every aspect of our stay,. We where welcomed by Monty who was so friendly he made us feel relaxed …

Just returned from an excellent stay, couldn’t fault anything we enjoyed every aspect of our stay,. We where welcomed by Monty who was so friendly he made us feel relaxed and welcome as soon as we stepped through the door. Every time we saw him he was so friendly and always polite with a big smile definitely a credit to the team. We had outstanding service from all of the staff which was much appreciated, special mention to Elton for super efficient breakfast service and compliments to all kitchen staff as we enjoyed our dinner immensely .
We found the bedroom Cosy and snug and so comfortable felt like our own little beach cabin and we loved the individual touches, birthday postcard, home made madelines and goodnight tea bag, keep doing what you are doing we wouldn’t change a thing , can’t wait to return . Many thanks to the whole team

We loved our stay. The room was perfect. We loved all the thoughtful touches – sleepy tea at night, glass of wine, tea and cake.

Really impressed with the decor …

We loved our stay. The room was perfect. We loved all the thoughtful touches – sleepy tea at night, glass of wine, tea and cake.

Really impressed with the decor generally and the bar / lounge was so comfortable

Breakfast was incredible – those sausages! Loved all the juices and breakfast pots.

Dinner was good, our mains was room temperature the first night (fish) so possibly the kitchen was struggling. 2nd night it was perfect.

Hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, a pure delight.

We will definitely come again!

From the moment I walked in early to the minute I left all of your staff were absolutely amazing to a solo traveller. Such warm lovely people really made me feel at home straight away. Sorry I can’t remember names but the bar man was great and the Lady in the spa and well everyone I met were great hosts and super accommodating. Everything was perfect – spa, food, the distance to the beach – it was all just what I needed. My only regret was that I only stayed for 1 day. Will return for sure.

Just returned from an excellent stay, couldn’t fault anything we enjoyed every aspect of our stay,. We where welcomed by Monty who was so friendly he made us feel relaxed and welcome as soon as we stepped through the door. Every time we saw him he was so friendly and always polite with a big smile definitely a credit to the team. We had outstanding service from all of the staff which was much appreciated, special mention to Elton for super efficient breakfast service and compliments to all kitchen staff as we enjoyed our dinner immensely .

From the moment I walked in early to the minute I left all of your staff were absolutely amazing to a solo traveller. Such warm lovely people really made me feel at home straight away. Sorry I can’t remember names but the bar man was great and the Lady in the spa and well everyone I met were great hosts and super accommodating. Everything was perfect – spa, food, the distance to the beach – it was all just what I needed. My only regret was that I only stayed for 1 day. Will return for sure.

What is included your room rate?

Depends what room rate you have booked….

The Essential Gallivant includes a simple continental style breakfast, House supper or £15 credit per person towards our a la carte menu, English Wine at 5 – a glass of English wine to enjoy and whatever wellness class(es) are on that day, normally yoga.

The Complete Gallivant also includes a much more amazing breakfast of cooked dishes from the kitchen, three courses from our a la carte at dinner and We Have Drift Off sleepy time tea by your bed at bedtime.

What are the check in and check out times?

Our check in time is 4pm and check out 11am. If you would like to come earlier (or stay later) to have lunch or a drink at the bar that’s absolutely fine. You can either leave your bags in the car or we’ll look after them until your bedroom is ready or you’re ready to go.

Are dogs allowed at the Gallivant / on the beach?

Yes, but we only allow smallish dogs, so nothing bigger than a spaniel please. They are allowed in the bar area and in four of our bedrooms.  They are also allowed on the beach all year round.

Where is the nearest station / How long is the train journey from London?

In Rye, 4 miles away. There is a high speed train from London St Pancras every hour. It takes 1 hour 9 minutes, change at Ashford International.

What are the Dining Room opening times?

Breakfast     8am to 11am
Day, Mon to Fri     1.00pm to 2.30pm
Weekend lunch     1.00pm to 3.00pm
Dinner   6.00pm to 9.00pm

Can I charge my car?

Yes, we have two car charging points.  If you are coming to stay and would like to reserve one please email reservations@thegallivant.co.uk
